Technodigit, France, has announced that the latest version of its 3D scanner software, 3DReshaper 2013, is available for download on the product website. 3DReshaper 2013 brings significant enhancement in terms of power and versatility for those who need to handle point clouds for a wide array of applications.
Improvements come not only from the user friendliness of the software which has been increased; but also from the managing system of heavy point clouds or meshes. The capability of processing a great quantity of points has been doubled and the display of big meshes is nearly immediate.
The new 2013 version also bring additional functions related to meshing or to the extraction of 3D features, but the most noteworthy enhancement is the Surveying plugin. This add-on includes functionalities that are especially interesting for professionals involved in cultural heritage or surveying: volume and cubature (according or not to a regular step, over/under breaks on a tunnel), cross-sections comparison and 2D report in pairs, 3D video or animation creation.
At last, 3DReshaper 2013 support the file formats of the latest Leica Nova MS50 multistation, thus offering a streamlined workflow between the 3D data collection and their processing.
This version is a milestone in 3DReshaper evolution, providing a significant enhancement in the processing and delivering of 3D scanner data; particularly for the applications in civil engineering, cultural heritage, mining, tunneling, terrain modeling, and so on. The surveying plug-in is obviously intended to grow, said Nicolas Landrivon, marketing and sales manager, Technodigit.
